SUOMY S1-XR GP

S1-XR GP is Suomy's new benchmark racing helmet for high performance on the track.
Designed, engineered and tuned in Italy with the help of the most advanced digital tools, the Suomy helmet was developed by MotoGP World Champion Ducati Corse rider Pecco Bagnaia to maximize performance and take it to the next level.
Its outer shell is made of tricomposite fiber, which allows for a shell that is very light but at the same time even more resistant to impact.
S1-XR GP is the synthesis of a thorough and innovative study that combines amazing aerodynamics, optimized in different riding positions and a stunning field of vision designed to maximize performance and increase active safety.


HELMET
The shell is made in a in TRICOMPOSITE fibers (Carbon, fiberglass, aramid fibers) a new layering that allows for a lighter but at the same time more protective shell. To satisfy the most demanding customers, S1-XR GP is produced in three different shells: S, M and L.

PROTECTIVE POLYSTYRENE
The polystyrene inner shell is made in four sizes (S, M, L and XL) with variable density to achieve better ergonomics and is made in variable densities.
This feature allows a gradual and progressive absorption of the energy produced by the impact. Although most of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the outer shell due to its deformation, the role of the polystyrene is critical in absorbing the residual energy.
A different density of polystyrene makes it possible to optimize the mechanical performance of the shell-polystyrene system, ensuring the highest level of absorption in all areas of the helmet, as required by the strict FIM regulations.

VISOR
The visor is made of injection-molded, scratch-resistant polycarbonate with variable thickness, easy to remove thanks to a tool-free system. The compact visor mechanism is made of a special light metal alloy that gives greater strength to the assembly. The visor also features a "Racing Lock System" locking mechanism also made of a light metal alloy (Pat Pend). This mechanism reduces the possibility of visor detachment in case of impact and allows for more intuitive opening/closing. S1-XR GP is prepared for tear-off lenses.

PINLOCK
S1-XR GP is equipped with the PINLOCK® MAX VISION 120 recessed anti-fog system, the best performing on the market.

WEIGHT
1400 gr ±50 in size M.

VENTILATION
It is during the hottest grand prix that the rider's best is required; being able to rely on an efficient ventilation system makes all the difference in keeping the rider's concentration at high levels. S1-XR GP features seven air intake ducts that work in conjunction with a perfectly integrated extraction duct system, ensuring excellent airflow inside the helmet. Hot air extraction is carefully designed; two embedded air extractors, together with the rear spoiler, create a Venturi effect by sucking in the hot air inside.

INTERIOR
The cheek pads and hood can be removed, washed and replaced. They are made of high-quality Hydrocool fabric, a fabric that offers the following characteristics:
- rapid heat dissipation
- maintenance of a pleasant cool and dry feeling
- lightness, softness and breathability
The cheek pads are customizable and easily removable in an emergency thanks to the quick release system. S1-XR GP is prepared for the camel-bag system, which is easy and intuitive to install.

RETENTION SYSTEM
The strap is equipped with a double metal DD-ring system.
